Tamara Clary received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an Art Education Certification from Meredith College.
Tamara opened her small business in 1997. Tamara worked with residential and commercial clients creating beautiful decorative finishes on ceilings, walls, floors & cabinetry for commercial & residential properties.
Tamara also transformed over 53 commercial spaces serving as a commercial interior designer & lead construction manager. Her work has been featured on Extreme Makeover TV Show, American Biker TV Show, seen in local newspapers and magazines. Tamara served as the decorative finisher for THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY, repairing finishes in their Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte restaurants.
2016 – Tamara opened a full time art school specializing in art camps, adult art classes, workshops and artist retreats.
Tamara served as an art teacher, (K-12) for Wake County Public School, Mecklenburg County Public Schools, and Charlottesville City Public Schools.
For 26 years, Luella Harris and her late husband Doug enjoyed owning and running Certain Things, a ladies boutique in Cameron Village.
In 2019, Lu came to work at Tamara’s art studio and is a joy to have on our team. When Lu isn’t assisting our students, she enjoys her life with her 2 sons, Chris & Matt, daughter in law Stephanie, her daughter Jill and her son in law Brian. The love of Lu’s life are her grandchildren, Logan. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Lu on our team and family at Tamara Clary Art Studio!
Max is an Australian Labradoodle.
Max has been a part of Tamara Clary Art Studio since he was 9 weeks old.
Max is fluffy, gentle and loves all the children. He is non-shedding and hypoallergenic.
