Students will bring a sketch book. All other materials are provided.
Students will learn how to draw the human head, face & hair adding shading, learning application of value and tone, highlights and shadow & blending techniques.
We will begin the class by learning how to draw the face, head and hair. Learning techniques of how to incorporate positive and negative spaces, the manipulation of a kneaded eraser, shading, bone structure, adding highlights and shadows

Students will learn how to clean, prep furniture and apply top coats to prepare it for refinishing so the finish will last. Students will be working on wood panels to complete their finishes. Tamara Clary will give hands on instruction of several finishes using chalk paint, acrylic paint, glazes, metallic foiling, stenciling and raised designs. The students will leave with their finished wood samples, a detailed notebook of the recipes of finishes they learned in class and the knowledge to upcycle their own furniture pieces.

Students will be painting with watercolor. During our workshop students will learn the tools used in watercolor. How to mix color, learn the flat wash, the graded wash, painting wet into wet, dry brush, brush manipulation, overlapping & glazing will be taught. Students will take home all their technique samples they completed in class along with a few finished watercolor landscapes. All supplies are provided.

Students will bring a digital image, saved to their iPad or cell phone, to paint.
Students will bring a 11”x 14” canvas
Small class setting. All other supplies, materials, aprons will be provided. Students will transfer their image onto a 11 x 14 canvas in class. Students will learn how to block in their color, color mixing, color theory, negative and positive space, brush manipulation, layout and design. Instructor, Tamara Clary will be giving hands on assistance and class demonstrations.

Students will be painting with watercolor. During our workshop students will learn the tools used in watercolor. Color mixing, application of the flat wash & the graded wash, how to apply watercolor wet into wet, dry brush, brush manipulation, overlapping & glazing will be taught. Students will take home several watercolor pieces of art and have the tools to continue their exploration into watercolor.
Students will be creating a mixed media piece of art on canvas board focusing on pears. Students will learn how to use several mixed mediums of acrylic paint, charcoal, gesso, screens, stencils etc. to create their piece of art. We will explore how to turn on your artistic voice and have fun while creating!

Perspective is so important when drawing or painting realistically. Students will learn how to draw 1 point and 2 point and 3 point perspective. Tamara will be teaching several exercises to learn these techniques. Students will also learn how to draw buildings using perspective and how to draw 3 point perspective.
An exciting workshop where you will create a piece of art by etching on glass and applying metallic foils into your design. Each student will leave with a finished piece of art ready to hang on their walls.
